Ok, so here's the deal.
I made this website because of people's need for knowledge.
Many people don't know where to buy hosting, or how to buy hosting, and after they paid their money realize that they got something that doesn't match their needs.
So let's start.
The first thing you need to know before purchasing webhosting is what are your requirements. How much webspace you need, how much traffic and other stuff like mails, databases, or software that you may need installed.
Second is the budget. You must know how much you are willing to pay for the services. This depends of every persons willing to pay. If it is a personal site it won't cost to much, but if it's for business it may cost a little more. (for a small site it can be 3$/month). A host that is cheap doesn't mean it is bad, but my personal opinion is that you get what you pay for. (sometimes technical support costs)
Now that you know this you can start searching for webhosts. (google is a good place – or you can contact us)
When you found some webhosts you need to find additional information about them,
like the servers they are running, uptime, how good their technical support is (contact them), response time, and sites hosted with them, and for how long they existed.
Another personal opinion of mine is that you shouldn't pay in advance for more than 3 months, cause many things can happen in 3 months.
Don't go with hosts that offer unlimited webspace and bandwidth (unlimited hard drive haven't been invented yet), cause that means they are overselling and their servers are overcrowded and very used. Overselling is not bad if it is done right.
It's also very important that you read their Terms of service (TOS), cause maybe they won't like some things you do and your account could get suspended.
Also check their “Money Back Guarantee” and don't hesitate to claim your money back if they don't fit your needs.
Feel free to ask me anything you want about webhosting or the material I wrote here.
I am not paid by anybody to add positive reviews about any hosts (like other sites do), I just add and write reviews about hosts that in my opinion are good.
Our webhosting page is here
This is just a little material about webhosting, but ... If you want more information about the webhosting industry visit:
sayorange.com and whreviews.com ...they don't lie either.
AGAIN: Feel free to ask me anything you want about webhosting or the material I wrote here. Also contact me if you want (to add) a review of a webhost.
